Every year in Manti they have a pageant. It is a fun thing to go to, if you have a free night and don't mind a drive. They have booths, food and the pageant. My husband and I went down there on a Thursday night to enjoy the show. I didn't shoot a whole lot, cause we were at our spot saving seats, but when we did leave to get food I caught a few.

I hope my husband doesn't hate me for this picture.. but I love his blue eyes.

Every year in the great city of provo is a HUGE celebration for the fourth of july. It is called the freedom festival. It consists of parades, booths, fireworks, stadium of fire and of course the balloon festival. It starts at 6am and lasts a few hours but is so beautiful. They send up about 15 balloons in one field. It is littered with people and onlookers. What a sight.

It was my in-laws anniversary a while back. We asked what they wanted to do or wanted from us to celebrate. They told us they wanted us to come ride the tram at sundance. Easy celebration that is for sure. So we went. It was beautiful, cold at the top but so fun.

A few months back I took a trip for the weekend to escape with my husband. We chose to go to Washington D.C. since neither one of us had been there. I love that city, it was so pretty and relaxed. It was nice to absorb all my country's history and of course to have some time away from work. Here is all the beautiful things I saw there.

My brother got married on August 14th to his sweetheart. It was a wonderful day full of adventure and love. I decided to take my camera along with even though I wasn't the photographer, and caught these fun things.

Alright, so my sister got married on friday. I didn't photograph her wedding for her, but I couldn't resist the chance to take a few shots myself. So after standing in the heat most of the day, putting on my cheeser smile for about 2 hours and helping to get ready.. this is the wonderful goodies I found. Enjoy!

Well I figured that most everyone wanted a break from the roadkill. So I figured I would post some stuff I have been working on. I am currently creating my website. It has been taking me a while to get to where I am at, but we are closer than we have been. I want to say it will be about a week, but knowing my luck it will be longer than that. I have been tossing and turning about what to put on there.. and finally came up with 4 categories. They are film, portraits, confrontations(roadkill), and alternative.

So with that being said, for the next few posts I will give you a sampler of each one of the categories, minus the roadkill since you have seen those.

I have started taking photographs in film again. It is pretty great, I have to admit to get back to the basics and working in a medium that I haven't been using for a few years. All the above photographs were shot on a Nikon N65 with Fuji 400h. I have also started shooting on a new fun camera, the fuji instax mini. I will post photos soon.
